- Import, paste, drag, capture, folder watch, and batch review workflows for screenshots and images.
- Local OCR and detection for secrets, tokens, PII, faces, QR codes, barcodes, account IDs, and configured policy terms.
- Finding states for Redact, Check, and Visible, with manual box adjustment and manual redaction boxes.
- Flattened cleaned exports with active redactions applied and metadata stripped.
- Metadata-only safe-share history that does not store images, OCR text, or matched secrets.
- 14-day trial, one-time license purchase, and update support for the direct-download build.
Known limitations
- Detection is not a guarantee. Review the screenshot before sharing.
- Folder watch scans screenshots after files are saved; it does not intercept Apple's native screenshot shortcuts before capture.
- Redaktr does not monitor ChatGPT, Claude, Slack, email, browsers, or support tools.
- Custom confidential data depends on the terms, domains, regexes, and allowlists you configure.
Download verification
The current stable DMG is published at /downloads/Redaktr.dmg. Redaktr is signed and notarized for macOS, and Sparkle uses the signed appcast at /downloads/appcast.xml for update checks.
